"Is It Love You're After" is a 1979 song by Rose Royce from the album Rose Royce IV: Rainbow Connection—which was the last album with lead singer Gwen Dickey before she left to embark on a solo career. It was the band's fourth highest charting single in the UK, peaking at #13 on the Official Charts. In the U.S., the single reached #31 on the Billboard R&B Chart and #105 on the Bubbling Under the Hot 100 chart. Rose Royce was a U.S. soul and R&B band formed in 1973 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. The group is best known for several hit singles including "Car Wash", "I Wanna Get Next to You", "Wishing on a Star", "Love Don't Live Here Anymore", and "I'm Going Down". Their style varied over the years, and included disco and funk. They were very succesful in the mid to late 1970s. Their last release was out in 1998.
